Analytica 2020: Virtually successful!

Process control with iLIMS

The world's leading trade fair for laboratory technology, analysis and biotechnology took place this year purely virtually due to Covd19 restrictions. For five days, visitors had the opportunity to view 268 exhibitors in six virtual exhibition halls. According to the organizer, MesseMünchen, more than 21,000 guests from 152 nations were counted, who took part in an extensive presentation program.

The special show "digital Transformation" was particularly popular this year. In this show, more than 20 companies from all manufacturers showed the smart communication of laboratory equipment and innovative software solutions.

At the FLOWlab technology honeycomb, we presented the automated, user-guided process control for dosing and mixing samples together with our partners TUDresden, 2mag, Hirschmann Laborgeräte and Better Basics Laborbedarf. In the process shown, the example of a custom synthesis was presented, where iLIMS acted as control center and realized the communication with the laboratory devices via OPC UA. The shown webinar caused enthusiasm and stimulated the audience to intensive discussions.
