Review Labvolution 2019 coming year.

The third edition of the laboratory trade fair LABVOLUTION took place from May 21-23 and brought together interested parties, experts and exhibitors in Hannover.The trade fair for laboratory technology focused on automation and digitalization in the laboratory environment. More than 300 companies presented products and innovations for the chemical, pharmaceutical, life sciences, food, environment and medical technology industries.

"At times, the iLIMS booth was virtually overrun by visitors, so that we could hardly cope with the onslaught of interested parties. The great interest in our laboratory solution naturally pleases us, but it doesn't surprise us either, because the increasing documentation obligations and regulations in the laboratory environment and the desire for automated and integrated laboratory management can be comprehensively mapped by our LIMS," commented Bernd Koschitzki on the trade fair.

In addition to technical presentations and panel discussions, another highlight of the trade fair was the Lab USER Dialogue. These are workshops and product demonstrations within the framework of LABVOLUTION, which are intended to intensify the contact between interested parties, exhibitors and experts. Under the topic of process automation in the laboratory, Bernd Koschitzki described set screws in the laboratory that have the greatest automation potential. He then discussed various solutions for increasing sample throughput and thus productivity in the laboratory. Finally, the topic of device interfaces was highlighted during the demonstration of intelligent balance and pump control for user-guided gravimetric dilution using iCONTROL. During the live presentation, the participants could convince themselves of the easy connection of laboratory instruments to an existing LIMS.

In retrospect, we are extremely satisfied with the results of the trade fair and would like to thank all interested parties and customers for the consistently positive trade fair feedback. We are looking forward to the next LABVOLUTION, which will take place again in Hannover from May 04 - 06, 2021 (save the date).
