Entrepreneur of the year 2012

Michael Friemel, managing partner of CSS GmbH, is entrepreneur of the year 2012.

With the award, which was presented on January 10, 2013, the German Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses honored the achievements of this exemplary medium-sized company.

The Federal Association of Medium-Sized Businesses (BVMW), has awarded Michael Friemel the title "Entrepreneur of the Year 2012" for the district of Fulda. With this award, the jury honors the managing partner of the software company CSS as an exemplary personality of medium-sized businesses.

"With this award we honour medium-sized entrepreneurs who personally bear the risk of their economic activity and who would rather take out a mortgage on their house than not being able to pay their employees' wages", said Helmut Gladbach, chairman of the Fulda district BVMW. "We would like to consciously correct and straighten out the negative public image of business executives, which is often one-sidedly shaped by highly paid group managers.

Prize winner Friemel was particularly pleased about the acceptance of his own employees who nominated him for the prize: "For me, this prize is so valuable because it evaluates leadership qualities and adherence to ethical standards. Employees are very sensitive - they notice immediately whether you are fully behind and with them. The great response from my network confirms my 'joy of doing'.
