Everyone knows it! During the Christmas season, appointments in the calendar pile up - Secret Santa at the daycare, Christmas market, Advent afternoons, baking cookies with friends, family Christmas party. In addition, there is the search for and procurement of gifts in overcrowded stores, so that peace and contemplation often fall short.
To avoid overloading the calendar with another Christmas party, we have scheduled the celebration with the team at iLIMS for a different time. Of course, we already visited the Christmas market after work in December, but the actual Christmas party took place a few days ago at the Cooking Loft in Dresden.
After the champagne reception in the spacious loft, two groups were formed. While one team focused on preparing the dishes, the other took care of mixing the drinks. Under professional guidance, exotic cocktails such as Southern Ginger, Almond Sour, or Disaronno Sour were mixed and served. The preparation of the food was also guided, and with helpful tips and tricks from the chef, the whole thing can also be recreated at home. The jointly prepared appetizer creation consisted of smoked cod fillet with carrot salad. For the main course, there was classic Christmas-style braised duck leg with winter vegetables and potato strudel. The whole meal was rounded off with mascarpone cream with spiced plums and vanilla espuma. After the exquisite meal, the employees of iLIMS sat together comfortably with partners, chatted, and enjoyed the evening without having to think about Christmas preparations - perhaps the beginning of a lasting tradition...
