General provisions

Scope of processing personal data

We process personal data of our users as far as this is necessary for providing a functional website as well as our content and services. The processing of personal data of our users regularly occurs after the user's consent. An exception applies in cases where obtaining prior consent is not possible for factual reasons and the processing of the data is permitted by legal regulations.

Legal basis for the processing of personal data

  • Consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR): When you give us your explicit consent for specific processing operations.
  • Contract fulfillment & pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR): For the processing necessary for the fulfillment of a contract with you or when we take pre-contractual steps.
  • Legal obligations (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR): When the processing is necessary for the fulfillment of a legal obligation of our company.
  • Vital interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. d GDPR): In rare cases, when vital interests of you or another person need to be protected.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR): When the processing is necessary to safeguard our legitimate interests or those of a third party, provided that your interests, rights, and freedoms do not override.

Data deletion and storage duration

According to the GDPR, personal data must be deleted as soon as the purpose of their processing ceases, in accordance with the principles of data minimization and purpose limitation (Art. 5 para. 1 lit. b GDPR). However, there are legal retention obligations (e.g., tax, commercial law) that often last 6 or 8 years (e.g., for invoices, personnel files), which delay deletion. Deletion occurs immediately as soon as the data is no longer needed or the affected person asserts their right to deletion (Art. 17 GDPR), unless there are exceptions such as the assertion of legal claims.

Provision of the website and creation of log files

Functional cookies and log file logging

In order to provide our website and ensure technical functionality, certain technical data is automatically collected from the user's system and stored in server log files during each visit.

  3. The user's IP address (anonymized)
  4. Date and time of access
  5. Reference URL from which the user's system accesses our website
  6. Websites accessed by the user's system through our website
  7. Browser type
  8. Transferred data volume

Legal basis for data processing

The legal basis for the temporary storage of data and log files is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Purpose of data processing

The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable the delivery of the website to the user's computer. For this purpose, the user's IP address must remain stored for at least the duration of the session. Additionally, we use the data to optimize the website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. Our legitimate interest in data processing according to Art. 6 para. 1f GDPR also lies in these purposes.

4. Duration of storage

This data is essential for the secure operation of the website and is stored only for the duration of the session or a maximum of 7 days to detect attacks and optimize display before being deleted.

5. Right to object and removal option

The collection of data for providing the website and the storage of data in log files is mandatory for the operation of the website. Therefore, there is no right to object on the part of the user.

Use of cookies

The processing of users' personal data allows us to analyze the surfing behavior of our users. By evaluating the data obtained, we are able to compile information about the use of the individual components of our website. This helps us to continuously improve our website and its user-friendliness.

Legal basis for data processing

We use technically necessary cookies as well as technically non-necessary cookies with the prior consent of the user. The legal basis for the processing of personal data using technically necessary cookies is Art. 6 para. 1f GDPR. The legal basis for the processing of personal data using cookies for analytical purposes is possible if the user has given relevant consent.

Google Tag Manager GA4 (GTM)

On our website, we use Google Tag Manager. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The manager is solely for the management of website tags. GTM itself does not process any analytical data and does not create user profiles. However, it triggers other tags that may collect personal data.
Legal basis: The use only occurs after your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR in conjunction with § 25 para. 1 TDDDG. Without consent, the Tag Manager will not be loaded.
Transfer to third countries: There may be a transfer to Google servers in the USA. Google bases the transfer on EU standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Access by US authorities cannot be completely ruled out.

Google Analytics 4 (Web analysis)
As far as you have consented, we use Google Analytics 4 to analyze the use of our website. The provider is also Google Ireland Limited, Ireland.

  • device and browser information,
  • approximate location data (region),
  • internet address of the website from which this website was accessed (so-called referrer URL, timestamp),
  • randomly assigned client/user IDs.

Purpose of processing: Statistical evaluation, reach measurement, and optimization of our web offerings.
Storage duration: The storage duration set by us in GA4 is 14 months and will be automatically deleted afterwards. Aggregated statistics are not personal data.

Right to object and removal options

Cookies are stored on the user's computer and transmitted to our site by the user. Therefore, as a user, you have full control over the use of cookies. By changing the settings in your internet browser, you can disable or restrict the transmission of cookies. Already stored cookies can be deleted at any time. This can also be done automatically. If certain technical cookies for our website are disabled, not all functions of the website may be fully usable.

You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by setting an opt-out cookie that prevents the collection of your data during future visits to this website: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Consent with effect for the future can also be revoked or adjusted via our consent banner. Without consent, no tracking takes place via Google Tag Manager (GA4).

SSL or TLS encryption

This page uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests and appointments that you send to us. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of the browser changes from 'http://' to 'https://' and by the lock symbol in your browser bar. When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
