The 26th edition of analytica took place this year from April 10 to 13 in Munich. The trade fair for laboratory technology, analytics, and biotechnology celebrated its 50th anniversary and presented the latest developments and trends in the laboratory industry to an international audience under bright sunshine.
In the field of laboratory management, the digitization in the laboratory and the associated automation of measurement data transfer was a central theme of this year's fair. The unification or standardization of device interfaces raised questions about which data should be transferred and how data security can be ensured during transmission. As a LIMS provider, we naturally see the great advantage of a uniform interface for our customers and used analytica to discuss the challenges of such standardization with device manufacturers.
In response to automated measurement data transfer, we presented at analytica our interface for scales and other laboratory devices developed together with CertoClav. This represents perfect communication between the analytical device and laboratory management software. The example workflow shown for determining the ash content of a sample displays the individual steps of the SOP on the screen of iControl directly at the scale. This solution was received with enthusiasm.
A big thank you goes to the numerous interested visitors.
