iLIMS Advanced Training

This year, our customer day took place for the first time in the form of an advanced training.

iLIMS Advanced Training

To our delight, the new event format was rated very positively by the participants. The focus of the event was on presenting new software features with practical examples. At the same time, the exchange of experiences between the iLIMS project managers and the customers, as well as among the customers themselves, was to be encouraged. After the welcome by the iLIMS managing director Bernd Koschitzki and the introduction of the team and guests, the participants were introduced to the various functionalities of the software by the project managers.

  • Mr. Noffke started by taking a closer look at the CRM modules. In particular, the quick search for people and the integration of the new laboratory data plug-in were at the forefront for efficient customer communication.
  • Subsequently, Mr. Koschitzki demonstrated how the software's controlling instruments in the form of analyses, transformations, statistics, and gadgets can be used for application in the laboratory. A time series analysis of measurement values served as an example.
  • Ms. Schilder then presented the innovations in order distribution. By introducing shipping positions and using customer-specific templates, the sending of reports can be simplified. In addition, the use of a new module now allows the dispatch of completed reports to be separated from their creation. This enables the outsourcing of the task to administration.
  • After lunch, Dr. Marx provided an insight into the formula engine of iLIMS. With its help, triggers, unit conversions, and complex statistical evaluations can be created, among other things. In a parallel session, Mr. Förster presented innovations and examples for efficient work with iLIMS.

During the concluding discussion round, our customers expressed their wishes for the further development of iLIMS, and the development department provided an outlook on the planned extensions of the laboratory software. To conclude, the evening was celebrated with mulled wine and punch at the Dresden Christmas markets at the Frauenkirche and in the Stallhof.

We thank all participants for their constructive cooperation and pleasant atmosphere. Based on corresponding feedback, we plan to offer more specialized workshops next year and are already looking forward to welcoming you back in Dresden.
