Locked in the Laboratory

This year's company party was spent by the CSS LIMS team locked in the laboratory

Locked in the Laboratory

Contrary to everyday tasks, the colleagues had to engage with laboratory management in a completely different way. Divided into pairs and locked in two identical laboratories, the task was to uncover the assassination attempt on Dr. Kaltenbach and leave the respective room as quickly as possible. On the way, puzzles of various kinds had to be solved, ranging from simple counting tasks to cracking a safe. Effective chemical management, functioning sample management, and natural teamwork were the key skills that distinguished the winning team.

Afterwards, the staff, along with partners and children, moved to the Sophienkeller in the Dresden Old Town. In the baroque vaulted cellar, they chatted animatedly about the previous escape game over Saxon wine and Bohemian dark beer. Managing Director Bernd Koschitzki gave a brief retrospective as well as a look ahead to the successfully completed year 2016 and the upcoming year 2017. He thanked all employees once again for their hard work and the partners for their understanding when things occasionally ran late or work had to be done on weekends.

A highlight of the evening event was the opening of the lavish buffet with roast pig and other delicacies. Late in the evening, the traditional funnel drinking was carried out, where a green elixir named CoseltrÀne was skillfully drunk from small tin funnels.
