The now third edition of the laboratory trade fair LABVOLUTION took place from May 21 to 23 and brought together interested parties, professionals, and exhibitors in Hanover. The focus of the trade fair for laboratory technology was primarily on automation and digitalization in the laboratory environment across various industries. More than 300 companies presented products and innovations for the chemical, pharmaceutical, life sciences, food, environmental, and medical technology sectors.
"The iLIMS booth was temporarily overwhelmed by visitors, so we could hardly cope with the influx of interested parties. Of course, we are pleased with the great interest in our laboratory solution, but it does not surprise us, as the increasing documentation requirements and regulations in the laboratory environment and the desire for an automated and integrated laboratory management can be comprehensively represented by our LIMS," commented Bernd Koschitzki on the fair.
In addition to expert presentations and panel discussions, another highlight of the fair was the Lab USER Dialogue. This consists of workshops and product demonstrations as part of LABVOLUTION, aimed at intensifying contact between interested parties, exhibitors, and professionals. Under the theme of process automation in the laboratory, Bernd Koschitzki described the levers in the laboratory that show the greatest automation potential. He then discussed various solutions to increase sample throughput and thus productivity in the laboratory. During the demonstration of the intelligent scale and pump control for user-guided gravimetric dilution using iCONTROL, the topic of device interfaces was also addressed. During the live presentation, participants could see for themselves the easy connection of laboratory devices to an existing LIMS.
Looking back, we are extremely satisfied with the results of the fair and would like to thank all interested parties and customers for the consistently positive feedback on the fair. We look forward to the next LABVOLUTION, which will take place again in Hanover from May 4 to 6, 2021 (save the date).
